We’re excited to welcome, Trinidad! He did his undergrad at UC Berkeley in Integrative Biology and starts his masters in the Silva lab this Fall 2025! He’ll be working on glial neuronal interactions following seizures.

Congrats to Morgan and the Silva lab for receiving the Gilead Innovation summer fellowship award! This will allow her to learn and analyze our scRNA sequencing data of microglia, astrocytes, and neurons in Tcf7l2 mutants and wildtype brains. We’re excited to see the first UMAPs and DEGs!

We’re excited to have Morgan Haydock and Andy Krumbein join the Silva lab to pursue their master’s this Fall 2025!
Morgan did her undergraduate work at SFSU and has a strong interest and skillset in bioinformatics.
Andy completed his undergraduate work at UCLA and is interested in microglia-neuronal interactions during disease.
Welcome both and we look forward to having you join!
